I’ve been writing songs since I was a kid. This collection includes some favorites from the last 25 years of the 20th century. They are all my compositions, except Travel, which is a poem by Edna St Vincent Millay that I set to music. I sing all the lead vocals and some harmonies, and play guitar, banjo, accordion and (on one song) bass. The following fine musicians lent their talents to this project for a song (so to speak), for which I am very grateful:

Bill Foss—bass and mandolin Don Burnham—bass Danny Carnahan—fiddle and harmony vocals Ed Neff—fiddle Ernie Noyes—mandolin, guitar, and harmony vocals Greg Pratt—bass and guitar Michael Harmon—guitar and harmony vocal Paul Herzoff—harmonica and harmony vocal Tom Morgan—drums

The songs were recorded by Michael Harmon, Roger Tschann, and Tom Morgan; mixed by Michael Harmon; mastered by Danny Carnahan, reproduced by Tony at Reeltime. Cover photo by Denise Breaux. Thanks to all of you! and thanks to all who encouraged me to record these songs. Extra special appreciation to Michael Harmon, without whose encouragement, expertise, and extreme generosity this project would have remained unfinished for who-knows-how-many-more years. Many, many, many thanks. And to you, the listener, thank you also. Hope you like the songs. If you would like a copy of all the lyrics and who’s playing what on each song, just ask and I will send.
